Description
English: This figure is related to w:en:Geometric separator#Separators that are hyperplanes. It illustrtates a configuration of squares in which no line can separate a linear fraction of the squares while cutting only a sub-linear fraction of them. Every vertical line cuts at least all the yellow squares, while every horizontal line seperates at most half of the yellow squares. Therefore, for example, if the number of yellow squares is less than N/2 (when N is the total number of squares), then there is no line that separates N/4 squares or more, while cutting less than N/2 squares.
